Senior Mechanical Design Engineer
Job Summary
To support the development of innovative nuclear hardware, the remote contract Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will prepare and update 3D models and technical documentation while ensuring compliance with Nuclear Quality and ASME Codes.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare, revise, and update 3D models, drawings, and specifications for nuclear hardware development
- Collaborate with Tooling and Analysis teams to ensure designs meet Nuclear Quality and Safety standards
- Present designs during peer and leadership reviews, incorporating feedback into hardware development
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Proven experience in mechanical design and 3D modeling for nuclear components
- Demonstrated background in First-Of-A-Kind (FOAK) hardware development
- Strong understanding of Nuclear Quality, Safety standards, and ASME Codes
- Experience in technical documentation throughout procurement and fabrication processes
