Senior Mechanical Design Engineer
Job Summary
To support the development of innovative nuclear hardware, the remote contract Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will prepare and update 3D models and technical documentation while ensuring compliance with Nuclear Quality and ASME Codes and Standards.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare, revise, and update 3D models, drawings, and specifications for nuclear hardware development
- Collaborate with Tooling and Analysis teams to deliver designs that meet Nuclear Quality and Safety standards
- Communicate design concepts and technical challenges to cross-functional teams and present designs during peer reviews
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Proven experience in mechanical design and 3D modeling for nuclear components
- Demonstrated background in the development of First-Of-A-Kind (FOAK) hardware
- Strong understanding of Nuclear Quality, Safety standards, and ASME Codes and Standards
