Senior Mechanical Engineer

Job Summary

Owning the mechanical, thermal-mechanical, and enclosure design of AI inference platforms, the full-time Senior Mechanical Engineer will ensure high-performance hardware meets the demands of HPC and data center environments while engaging with contract manufacturers and custom-part fabricators in a remote setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design of enclosures, chassis, and carrier-board integration for rack-mount inference systems, including detailed design and tolerance analysis
• Conduct thermal-mechanical and structural analysis for high-TDP ASIC platforms, collaborating with electrical and thermal teams to achieve performance targets
• Serve as the primary mechanical lead for contract manufacturers and custom-part fabricators throughout the product development lifecycle

Required Qualifications

• BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering with 7+ years of experience in electromechanical design for high-performance electronic systems
• Proven expertise in 3D CAD (SolidWorks and/or Creo), detailed drawings, and structural/thermal simulation
• Experience with high-density electronic packaging and managing custom-part suppliers through development phases
• Demonstrated application of DFM/DFA and FMEA to enhance cost, quality, and manufacturability
• Strong ability to write mechanical specifications and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams
