Senior Media Relations Manager

Job Summary

To support a growing health communications agency, the remote Senior Media Relations Manager will manage multiple key projects, develop strategic media plans, and effectively sell media relations work to clients while reporting to the Senior Vice President of Media Relations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of media project timelines and deliverables, acting as the media point person for clients
• Provide strategic media counsel and develop comprehensive communications tactics to meet client objectives
• Engage in business development activities, including supporting new business proposals and participating in presentations

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, business, or a health/science-related field or equivalent experience
• 6+ years of experience in public relations and communications, specifically in health or pharma communications
• Proven experience in media relations, including pitching reporters and creating media lists
• Familiarity with scientific therapy areas such as oncology, rare disease, and neuroscience
• Demonstrated understanding of current issues in domestic and global health
