Senior Media Relations Manager

Job Summary

To support a growing health communications agency, the remote Senior Media Relations Manager will manage multiple key projects, develop strategic media plans, and drive media relations efforts for clients in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of media project timelines and deliverables while serving as the main media contact for clients
• Provide strategic media counsel and develop clients' media strategies, leveraging AI to optimize outreach
• Engage in business development by supporting the creation of new proposals and participating in presentations

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, business, or a health/science-related field
• 6+ years of experience in public relations and communications, specifically in health or pharma
• Proven experience in media relations, including pitching and creating media lists
• Familiarity with scientific therapy areas such as oncology, rare disease, and neuroscience
• Understanding of current issues in domestic and global health and a passion for improving lives through health innovations
