Senior Medical Editor

Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Senior Medical Editor will manage editorial services including medical editing, copyediting, proofreading, and fact-checking for pharmaceutical advertising materials and corporate communications.

Key responsibilities:

• Edit for language clarity, brand accuracy, and adherence to AMA style while supporting reviews with AI tools
• Participate in the content review process, ensuring accurate referencing and fact-checking throughout project stages
• Collaborate with Editorial, Creative, and Project Management teams to prioritize projects and maintain quality standards

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education plus professional experience
• 5+ years of editing experience in a healthcare or pharmaceutical advertising agency
• Thorough knowledge of current AMA style and familiarity with FDA requirements for drug promotion
• Demonstrated comfort with medical/pharma terminology and experience in managing shifting priorities
• Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat Professional, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft PowerPoint
