Senior Mobile Product Engineer

Job Summary

To redefine mobile messaging experiences, the full-time Senior AI-Native Product Engineer will design and implement cross-platform mobile client architecture for AI interactions in Zillow Instant Messaging, working remotely and utilizing Swift and Kotlin.

Key responsibilities

• Design and ship mobile client architecture for AI in conversations, ensuring seamless streaming and multi-modal content rendering across iOS and Android
• Own cross-platform architectural decisions for the messaging core, maintaining convergence between Swift and Kotlin implementations
• Build resilient real-time messaging experiences that function effectively on unreliable mobile networks, while defining observability and service level objectives

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building and shipping native mobile applications at consumer scale
• Production experience on both iOS and Android, or deep expertise in one platform with demonstrated delivery in the other
• Proficiency in Swift and Kotlin, with familiarity in SwiftUI and Jetpack Compose
• Experience building features on top of real-time or streaming data
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or equivalent work experience
