Senior MongoDB Architect

Job Summary

Delivering expert-level technical recommendations for a client's MongoDB estate, the remote Senior MongoDB Architect will conduct architecture reviews, diagnose performance issues, and provide actionable advice on sharding and replication strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct architecture and configuration reviews of production MongoDB clusters based on client-supplied diagnostics
• Diagnose performance issues and produce root-cause analyses with concrete remediation recommendations
• Produce clear, client-facing written recommendations and contribute to monthly governance reviews and quarterly advisory workshops

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of production MongoDB experience, including sharding, replication, and performance tuning
• Demonstrated ability to deliver independent technical recommendations to clients or stakeholders
• Experience working from indirect evidence such as logs and configurations
• Preferred experience in financial services or other regulated environments
• Strong written communication skills with actionable recommendations for operational teams
