Senior MongoDB Engineer
Job Summary
To modernize and support enterprise MongoDB platforms, the fully remote Senior MongoDB Database Platform Engineer will design, implement, and manage MongoDB environments, ensuring high availability, security, and performance across both on-premises and MongoDB Atlas infrastructures.
Key responsibilities
- Design, build, and administer enterprise MongoDB environments, including installation, configuration, and lifecycle management
- Implement high availability and disaster recovery strategies, ensuring robust backup and recovery solutions
- Monitor and optimize database performance, analyzing queries and configurations to enhance reliability and efficiency
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of database administration or engineering experience, with 8+ years specifically in MongoDB
- Strong Linux administration skills, preferably with RHEL or similar distributions
- Deep understanding of MongoDB architecture, including replica sets, sharded clusters, and performance tuning
- Experience with MongoDB Atlas, including cluster deployment and access management
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex database and connectivity issues in production environments
