Job Summary
Owning the MongoDB migration process, the full-time Senior MongoDB Engineer will design document models, migrate data from relational databases, and integrate MongoDB with existing Java/Spring Boot applications in a 100% remote, contract-to-hire role.
Key responsibilities
- Design MongoDB collections, document schemas, indexes, and aggregation pipelines
- Plan and execute data migrations from Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, or PostgreSQL into MongoDB
- Integrate MongoDB with existing Spring Boot services to ensure application functionality during and after migration
Required qualifications
- 6-10 years of experience with MongoDB, including hands-on schema design and performance tuning
- Experience with at least one project migrating data from another database into MongoDB
- Proficiency in integrating MongoDB with Java/Spring Boot applications
- US Citizenship or Green Card holder status
- Completion of an online technical test during the screening process
