Senior Network Administrator

Job Summary

Supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs' network infrastructure, the full-time Senior Network Administrator will manage and secure enterprise and local networks, including VistA and the VAEC AWS environment, while working remotely within the continental US.

Key responsibilities:

• Administer and maintain the VistA network infrastructure in compliance with VA and federal IT standards
• Provide ongoing operational support for the VAEC AWS cloud environment and the VA WAN, ensuring adherence to security standards
• Collaborate with multiple teams to troubleshoot and resolve network issues, while documenting processes and improvements

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, electronics engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience managing and configuring computer systems across various networks, including government IT systems
• Experience with AWS cloud networking and managing connectivity to cloud resources
• Knowledge of firewall and network protection technologies, including experience implementing security measures
• Familiarity with SAFe/Agile methodologies and ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance
