Senior Network Engineer

Job Summary

To enhance network security and performance, the remote contract Senior Network Engineer will plan and implement enterprise networks, assess existing technologies, and manage network services from planning through implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and implement enterprise networks, including security measures and connectivity parameters
• Perform assessments on existing technologies to identify performance and capacity gaps
• Manage firewall governance and operations, including rule reviews and compliance analysis

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Network Security, focusing on firewall governance and operations
• Hands-on experience with firewall rule bases such as Palo Alto, Check Point, and Cisco ASA/Firepower
• Strong understanding of network security controls, firewall policies, and access governance
• Experience supporting audit remediation activities and working with regulatory teams
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and ticketing platforms like ServiceNow or Jira
