Senior Network Engineer

Job Summary

To enhance network security, the remote contract Senior Network Engineer will plan and implement enterprise networks, assess existing technologies, and manage network services from planning through implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and implement enterprise networks, including hardware and software components
• Perform assessments on existing technologies to identify performance and capacity gaps
• Manage and optimize firewall governance, operations, and remediation activities

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Network Security with a focus on firewall governance
• Hands-on experience managing firewall rule bases (e.g., Palo Alto, Check Point, Cisco ASA/Firepower, Fortinet)
• Strong understanding of network security controls and access governance
• Experience supporting audit remediation activities and compliance analysis
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and ticketing/tracking platforms such as ServiceNow or Jira
