Senior Network Engineer
Job Summary
Working remotely on a 3-month contract, the Senior Network Engineer will diagnose connectivity issues for customers, build a proof of concept using Amazon MSK, and contribute to network architecture decisions while ensuring a reliable experience on the platform.
Key responsibilities
- Diagnosing complex connectivity and performance issues from customer networks to the cloud platform
- Building an Amazon MSK proof of concept, including security and client access configurations
- Documenting diagnostic approaches and findings, and collaborating with internal teams to drive improvements
Required qualifications
- Senior-level experience as a Network or Network Reliability Engineer with expertise in packet-level troubleshooting
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP fundamentals, routing, DNS, and VPNs
- Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka or Amazon MSK, including cluster design
- Solid knowledge of AWS networking, including VPCs and security groups
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Ansible
