Senior Network Engineer

Job Summary

To support a growing managed services team, the full-time Senior Network Engineer will design, build, and operate a high-availability Spine-and-Leaf network architecture, while managing network incidents and leading automation initiatives in a fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and evolve the IP Spine-Leaf network, ensuring carrier-grade reliability and managing internet edge strategies
• Serve as the senior escalation point for network incidents, leading root cause analysis and implementing improvements
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain 100% network uptime and drive capacity upgrades proactively

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent field experience
• 6+ years of network engineering experience, preferably in a Telco, ISP, CLEC, or MSP/CSP environment
• Deep knowledge of BGP, ECMP, OSPF/IS-IS, and experience with carrier-class platforms
• Production experience with data center fabrics and overlay technologies such as EVPN-VXLAN
• Strong scripting and automation skills with Python and Ansible
