Job Summary
To support the development of a new AAA title, the full-time Senior Network Platform Engineer will design, build, and operate large-scale distributed systems while mentoring junior engineers and managing the entire shipping lifecycle of backend services, with flexible work arrangements available including remote options.
Key responsibilities
- Design, build, maintain, and operate large-scale distributed systems
- Own the entire shipping lifecycle of backend services, ensuring operational procedures are followed
- Integrate external APIs and services while collaborating with stakeholders to implement new features
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience focused on backend, network, or distributed systems
- Proven database experience with traditional RDBMS, NoSQL, and caching layers
- Solid understanding of concurrency, asynchronous techniques, and consistency tradeoffs
- Experience working in a Linux environment at the command line
- Familiarity with networking concepts including DNS, routing, and packet analysis
