Senior Network Field Engineer
Job Summary
Leading the delivery of reliable and secure network solutions, the full-time Senior Network Field Engineer will manage operational support for the global network, design and implement LAN, WAN, and wireless solutions, and serve as the technical lead for network initiatives in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Lead Tier III troubleshooting and operational support for the global Hertz field network, partnering with the NOC on critical issues
- Design and deliver network solutions for field projects, ensuring compliance with enterprise architecture and security standards
- Monitor network performance and capacity while communicating project status and technical recommendations to stakeholders
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
- 5+ years of experience in designing and optimizing enterprise network solutions in large-scale environments
- Strong expertise in LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, and network architecture
- Experience with secure on-premises and cloud-based network environments, including Azure and/or AWS
- Hands-on experience with network automation and management platforms, including tools like Python and Ansible
