Senior Network Maintenance Engineer
Job Summary
Working night shifts, the full-time Senior Network Maintenance Engineer will manage the overall coordination and evaluation of planned activities on the network, ensuring effective change management while minimizing risks and service disruptions.
Key responsibilities:
- Oversee scheduling and execution of network maintenance activities, assessing customer impact and issuing notifications
- Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to evaluate risks and urgency of changes, ensuring adherence to policies
- Act as a liaison between internal teams, management, and external stakeholders to communicate change plans and potential impacts
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with at least 11 years in a related field
- A minimum of seven years of experience in change management or network operations within the telecom industry
- Expertise in ITIL frameworks and telecom network technologies, including SONET and DWDM equipment
- Proficient in change management tools such as ServiceNow or Remedy
- Strong knowledge of fiber optic network architectures and telecom NOC operations
