Senior Non-QM Underwriter
Job Summary
Evaluating complex residential mortgage loan applications, the full-time Senior Non-QM Underwriter will underwrite transactions, analyze borrower financials, and make informed credit decisions while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Underwrite complex transactions to ensure compliance with established guidelines for various documentation programs
- Perform detailed analyses of borrower credit, income, assets, and collateral to assess overall risk and loan eligibility
- Issue clear and concise loan decisions to business partners while providing exceptional customer service and collaboration
Required qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Mortgage Lending, with at least 2 years as a NQM Underwriter
- Encompass experience is required
- Recent manual underwriting experience in the mortgage industry
- Proficient in self-employment income calculations and guidelines
- FHA Chums and/or VA Lapp SAR recommended but not required
