Senior Non-QM Underwriter
Job Summary
Evaluating complex residential mortgage loan applications, the full-time Senior Non-QM Underwriter will underwrite transactions, analyze borrower information, and make informed credit decisions while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Underwrite complex transactions to ensure compliance with established guidelines for various loan programs
- Perform detailed analysis of borrower credit, income, assets, and collateral to assess overall risk and loan eligibility
- Issue clear loan decisions and provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders
Required qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Mortgage Lending, including at least 2 years as a NQM Underwriter
- Experience with Encompass is required
- Recent manual underwriting experience in the mortgage industry
- Proficient in self-employment income calculations and guidelines
- FHA Chums and/or VA Lapp SAR certification recommended but not required
