Senior Nuclear Safety Engineer

Job Summary

Leading thermal hydraulic and safety analyses, the full-time Senior Nuclear Safety Engineer will focus on LOCA and containment performance for BWRX 300, working remotely to support various safety applications and deliver high-quality technical reports.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead technical evaluations and analyses related to Anticipated Operational Occurrences and thermal hydraulic fuel channel analyses
• Serve as a subject matter expert for BWRX 300 LOCA and containment behavior, developing and applying DSA methods
• Prepare and present complex technical issues to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards

Required Qualifications:

• B.S. Degree in Engineering Discipline (Nuclear, Mechanical, Physics or similar) with 8+ years of relevant nuclear experience, including 5+ years in thermal hydraulic safety analysis
• Alternatively, an M.S. Degree with 6+ years of relevant experience or a Ph.D. with 4+ years of relevant experience, both including thermal hydraulic safety analysis
• Demonstrated experience with LOCA and containment analysis is strongly preferred
• Extensive knowledge of BWR systems and integrated plant response
• Experience with thermal hydraulic systems codes such as TRACG, GOTHIC, or similar is highly desired
