Senior Observability Systems Engineer
Job Summary
Setting the technical direction for observability practices, the full-time remote Senior Observability Systems Engineer will lead architectural decisions, mentor engineers, and manage observability platforms across data centers.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish technical standards for observability, including instrumentation and alerting practices
- Own and evolve the metrics pipeline and logging stack, ensuring scalability and performance visibility
- Implement infrastructure-as-code for observability stack deployments and automate configuration management
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years in systems engineering, SRE, DevOps, or observability roles with technical leadership experience
- Deep hands-on experience with Prometheus, VictoriaMetrics, and log aggregation tools like Elasticsearch/OpenSearch
- Working knowledge of distributed tracing tools such as Jaeger and OpenTelemetry
- Proficiency in Python and/or Go for automation and tooling
- Experience with Kubernetes and infrastructure-as-code tooling
