Job Summary
Seeking a Senior Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) for a remote contract role, the candidate will manage enterprise Oracle database environments, provide troubleshooting and operational support, and serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in both on-premises and cloud settings.
Key responsibilities
- Administer, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise Oracle database environments
- Manage database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes using Oracle RMAN
- Perform advanced database performance tuning and develop automation scripts, including PL/SQL
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in database administration and related disciplines
- Advanced expertise in Oracle database administration, including Oracle Grid and RMAN
- Experience with high availability, disaster recovery, and database performance tuning
- Proficient in managing databases in enterprise production environments
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional technical teams
