Senior Orthopedic Surgery Coder

Job Summary

To support revenue cycle operations, the full-time Senior Orthopedic Surgery Coder will accurately assign ICD-10 and CPT codes, resolve coding edits and rejections, and ensure compliance while working remotely.

Key responsibilities:

• Accurately assign and sequence ICD-10 and CPT codes along with applicable modifiers
• Contact clients to clarify documentation in medical records for coding purposes
• Monitor regulatory and payer changes affecting diagnostic and procedure coding

Required qualifications:

• Active coding credentials such as CPC, CCS-P, CIC, COC, or CRC
• 5+ years of experience in professional medical coding with a focus on advanced orthopedic surgery coding
• Strong experience with operative reports, CPT, ICD-10-CM, HCPCS, and modifiers
• Previous roles as a Senior Coder, Coding Auditor, QA Analyst, or Coding SME preferred
• Experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW) or similar EHR systems
