Senior Palo Alto Security Engineer

Job Summary

Focused on Palo Alto Cortex XSIAM and XDR engineering, the full-time Senior Palo Alto Security Engineer will design, implement, and support SIEM capabilities within a remote environment, collaborating with a 24x7 Security Operations Center to enhance security operations for multiple state agencies.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the planning, design, deployment, and operational support of enterprise SIEM and XDR capabilities
• Develop and maintain automated response workflows and playbooks for incident response and threat management
• Support tier 1 through tier 3 SOC analysts by providing troubleshooting, detection tuning, and incident response assistance

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information technology or information security related field
• Five years of hands-on experience with Palo Alto Cortex XSIAM and Cortex XDR
• Experience in engineering and supporting SIEM capabilities for multi-tenant environments
• Strong knowledge of CRIBL data modeling and log pipeline design
• Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, or GIAC preferred
