Senior Patient Access Specialist

Job Summary

To facilitate a smooth transition for new patients to home infusion services, the remote Senior Patient Access Specialist will engage with patients, referral sources, and healthcare teams while coordinating documentation and payment processes, working primarily within the Mountain or Pacific Time zones.

Key responsibilities

• Engages with patients and referral sources to coordinate discharge and secure necessary nursing and delivery services
• Communicates and obtains all required documentation for new patient referrals
• Assists patients in securing upfront payments and navigates financial assistance options when needed

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 1 year of experience as a Patient Registration Specialist for internal candidates
• Previous healthcare or medical billing experience preferred
• Ability to multi-task and manage multiple referrals in a fast-paced environment
• Strong customer service skills and attention to detail
