Senior Patient Account Specialist

Job Summary

To support the revenue cycle team, the hybrid remote Senior Patient Account Specialist will manage billing for third-party payers, resolve claim issues, and ensure timely reimbursement for hospital and professional claims while working Monday through Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM.

Key responsibilities

• Billing third-party payers and resolving payer rejections for hospital and professional patient accounts
• Identifying and processing denied claims, including performing appeals as necessary
• Training and mentoring new employees while maintaining quality assurance standards

Required qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent
• Minimum of three years of patient accounts experience
• Minimum of two years of Epic Revenue Cycle experience
• Experience with institutional/facility billing, including UB-04 and 837I claims
• Familiarity with clearinghouse platforms for researching and resolving claim rejections
