Senior Payer Contract Analyst

Job Summary

Managing complex payer issues, the full-time Senior Payer Contract Analyst will conduct specialized analyses to improve revenue, represent the organization with payers, and mentor junior staff while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Independently research and resolve payer issues, facilitating meetings with payers and internal stakeholders to address complex revenue challenges
• Develop and communicate reports on payer issues, tracking financial recoveries and presenting innovative improvements to enhance operational efficiencies
• Provide consultation on payer developments, assist in system implementations, and mentor junior analysts on projects and report design

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience in medical practice billing, coding, or relevant experience
• Expert knowledge of payer reimbursement methodologies, rules, and regulations
• Experience with Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel
• Fluency in EPIC and knowledge of Tableau reporting preferred
• Demonstrated understanding of CMS and AMA CPT coding standards
