Senior Payer Contract Manager
Job Summary
Responsible for developing and implementing contracts with third-party payers, the full-time Senior Payer Contract Manager will lead negotiations on payment terms and manage payer relationships remotely, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and compliance with regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Lead negotiations with assigned payers, focusing on various reimbursement models
- Evaluate payer relationships to identify opportunities for revenue improvement and cost reduction
- Ensure contract language complies with state and federal laws while minimizing financial and operational risks
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, healthcare administration, or related field, or 10+ years of relevant experience
- Minimum seven years of experience in financial/medical data analysis or contract negotiation in a healthcare setting
- Experience with medical and pricing terminology, including DRG, RUG, APC, RVU, and conversion factors
