Senior Payload Systems Engineer

Job Summary

Joining the SpaceWrx team in Westminster, CO, the full-time Senior Payload Systems Engineer will manage the technical interface between imaging payloads and spacecraft, lead system-level trades, and participate in supplier management while working in-office three days a week and remotely for two days.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage the technical interface between the imaging payload and spacecraft bus, ensuring compatibility and performance optimization
• Lead and participate in system-level trades to evaluate design alternatives and technology insertion opportunities
• Participate in supplier management and conduct design reviews to ensure payload systems meet performance and reliability constraints

Required qualifications:

• Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active secret Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one
• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field
• 5-7 years of experience with space-based optical remote sensing payloads or similar hardware systems
• Experience in spacecraft-to-payload interface development and cross-functional team collaboration
• Familiarity with requirements management documentation and processes
