Senior Payments Manager

Job Summary

Leading the payments mission-aligned team in a full-time remote capacity, the Senior Payments Manager will manage the payments product roadmap, write detailed requirements for engineering teams, and oversee the execution of payment initiatives across both one-time and recurring billing models.

Key responsibilities

• Build and drive the payments product roadmap in collaboration with the Head of Payments
• Write clear PRDs and business requirements for engineering teams, covering all necessary details and scope boundaries
• Act as the day-to-day payments subject matter expert for the business, guiding teams on processing and payment method decisions

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of experience with complex, tech-forward payments stacks, including gateways and processors
• Fluency in both one-time payments and recurring billing mechanics
• A proven track record of leading global, cross-functional payments initiatives from requirements through launch
• Strong product management skills, including writing clear requirements and making prioritization decisions
• Experience with market entry for payments in unfamiliar markets
