Senior Performance Engineer
Job Summary
Leading performance engineering activities across large-scale healthcare technology programs, the full-time Senior Performance Engineer will define test strategies, develop performance testing frameworks, and evaluate application scalability while collaborating with various technical and business teams.
Key responsibilities
- Lead performance testing activities including planning, workload modeling, test design, and execution
- Analyze performance metrics and logs to identify bottlenecks and provide actionable recommendations for system improvements
- Establish performance engineering standards and integrate performance validation into CI/CD pipelines
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, statistics, or a related field
- 5+ years of hands-on performance testing and engineering experience across enterprise software applications
- Proficiency in deploying and managing JMeter or comparable performance testing tools in cloud environments
- Strong knowledge of Java, JVM tuning, and performance optimization techniques
- Experience integrating performance tests into CI/CD pipelines and supporting shift-left performance engineering practices
