Senior Personnel Security Specialist

Job Summary

To support federal agencies, the remote Senior Personnel Security Specialist will manage background investigations, serve as the primary contact for applicants and supervisors, and ensure compliance with federal regulations and timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess personnel security vetting requirements and determine appropriate vetting scenarios based on position sensitivity and risk level
• Review and validate personnel security investigation requests for various risk levels, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal standards
• Act as a subject matter expert, providing guidance on investigation processes and maintaining secure handling of sensitive data

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of experience in security or intelligence disciplines, or 5+ years of relevant expertise
• Tier 2 security clearance or higher is required
• Experienced user of federal HR and personnel security systems, including eTracker and ePS
• Knowledge of federal regulations and compliance standards related to personnel security
• Ability to analyze and organize data accurately and efficiently
