Senior PKI Engineer
Job Summary
Operating and maintaining public key infrastructure and certificate management services, the full-time Senior PKI Engineer will drive automation and expansion of the Cryptographic Services Program in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Administer and maintain Microsoft Active Directory Certificate Services (AD CS), including issuing CAs and managing certificate templates and enrollment services
- Operate the certificate lifecycle platform, monitor certificate inventory, process requests, and troubleshoot integrations
- Perform routine PKI health checks, maintenance, backups, and recovery testing while coordinating renewals with application and infrastructure owners
Required qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience operating Microsoft AD CS in an enterprise environment, including NDES
- Experience administering Venafi Trust Protection Platform or Keyfactor Command
- Working knowledge of Fortanix Data Security Manager or comparable HSM solutions
- Strong understanding of X.509 certificates, certificate chains, and private key protection
- PowerShell scripting and troubleshooting skills
