Job Summary
Owning the internal developer platform for federal health missions, the full-time Senior Platform Engineer will build and operate a secure, cloud-native platform, focusing on MLOps, self-service onboarding, and infrastructure automation in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Own the Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and GitOps foundation, evolving Terraform and ArgoCD for a declarative, self-healing platform
- Architect and deploy AIOps/MLOps solutions for data science and engineering teams, ensuring reliable data access and observability
- Partner with government stakeholders to translate mission needs into platform capabilities while driving documentation and knowledge transfer
Required qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevSecOps, Site Reliability, or Cloud Engineering with senior-level ownership of a production platform
- Extensive hands-on experience with cloud-native technologies such as Kubernetes, Terraform, and AWS services
- Deep expertise in GitOps practices and strong CI/CD background using tools like GitLab CI and Jenkins
- Working knowledge of federal compliance standards (NIST 800-53, FISMA) and experience in GovCloud environments
- Proficient in automation and scripting languages, including Python, Bash, and Go
