Senior Platform Engineer
Job Summary
To build and govern the tool layer for an enterprise AI platform using AWS, the full-time Senior AgentCore Platform Engineer will design and operate the Amazon Bedrock AgentCore Gateway, create MCP servers, and manage identity and access for tools in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Design and manage the tool layer, including tool naming, schema conventions, and testing for CI
- Build MCP servers in Python or TypeScript and integrate legacy systems through Lambda adapters
- Define and govern the tool onboarding process, including templates, reviews, and the tool catalogue
Required qualifications
- 7+ years of backend engineering experience with strong API design skills, including REST and OpenAPI specifications
- Proficiency in building MCP servers and production-quality code in Python and/or TypeScript
- Experience with AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, and IAM, including integration with Cognito
- In-depth knowledge of OAuth 2.0 / OIDC, including authorization flows and credential vaulting
- Experience integrating enterprise or legacy systems and managing breaking changes effectively
