Senior Platform Engineer
Job Summary
Seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to work remotely in a full-time salaried position, focusing on tooling and automation to enhance the deployment of new features and services while ensuring the reliability and security of production systems.
Key responsibilities
- Designing and automating the Software Development Lifecycle and Infrastructure for optimal performance
- Owning the reliability and performance of production systems, leading incident response, and implementing preventative measures
- Mentoring engineers on infrastructure best practices and driving continuous improvement of tooling and processes
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
- 5-7 years of experience as a Platform Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or SRE with direct ownership of production systems
- Expertise in at least one programming language such as Golang, Java, Python, Ruby, or Rust
- Proven experience managing AWS cloud infrastructure and CI/CD services at scale
- Strong command of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like AWS CDK or Terraform
