Senior Platform Engineer
Job Summary
Building and maintaining core production platforms, the full-time Sr. Principal Platform Engineer will serve as the technical anchor for the engineering team, focusing on architecture decisions, mentoring junior engineers, and collaborating with IT Security and Data Analytics in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Build and maintain the core of production platforms while being hands-on in the codebase
- Own architecture decisions for production applications and review designs from less experienced engineers
- Mentor early-career engineers, helping them understand the reasoning behind technical decisions
Required qualifications
- 8 to 10+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on production systems
- Strong programming skills across the full stack, including front-end and back-end development
- Hands-on experience with technologies such as TypeScript, Python, React, and Vite
- Proven system design and architecture skills with a track record of mentoring junior engineers
- Experience using AI-powered development tools while maintaining core engineering judgment
