Senior Platform Engineer

Job Summary

Building and operating backend systems, the full-time Senior Platform Engineer will enhance data movement and service reliability while working remotely to support the platform team's initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services for data processing and integration with cloud data warehouses
• Identify and resolve customer issues, ensuring optimal performance and reliability of services
• Participate in on-call rotations, responding to production issues and implementing improvements based on learnings

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of production coding experience, particularly in Python
• Experience in startup or high-growth environments with end-to-end service ownership
• Proficiency in backend systems and distributed architectures, with familiarity in GCP or AWS
• Strong understanding of building reliable, secure, and observable systems at scale
• Ability to leverage emerging technologies, including AI, to enhance productivity and outcomes
