Job Summary
Driving the development of an internal developer platform, the full-time Senior Platform Engineer will build and manage a Backstage-based portal and service catalog, define production pipelines, and enhance cloud and Kubernetes infrastructure in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Build and own the internal developer platform, including software templates for production-ready services
- Define the golden path from commit to production using pipeline templates and GitOps methodologies
- Enhance cloud infrastructure and streamline developer processes to reduce toil and improve efficiency
Required qualifications
- 8 to 10 years of experience in platform, DevOps, or infrastructure engineering with software development experience
- Hands-on experience with Backstage or equivalent internal developer portals
- Proficiency in Kubernetes, GitOps (Argo CD or Flux), and Terraform in a major cloud environment
- Experience with CI/CD processes, including pipeline templates and safe rollouts
- Familiarity with observability tools and metrics
