Job Summary
To enhance the usability and performance of Elasticsearch, the full-time Senior Platform Productivity Engineer will contribute to core infrastructure projects, automate development workflows, and design scalable features while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Contributing to impactful projects that evolve Elasticsearch's core infrastructure
- Identifying automation opportunities to improve developer productivity and integrating agentic apps into workflows
- Designing and implementing new features and APIs while addressing performance and concurrency challenges
Required qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD systems and practices (e.g., Buildkite, Argo CD)
- Proficiency in core Java and familiarity with data structures and concurrency constructs
- Experience crafting APIs and reasoning through design tradeoffs
- Knowledge of Java build tools, preferably Gradle
- Experience leading large-scale projects across engineering teams
