Job Summary
To define the hardware/software contract for Asimov and future generations, the full-time Senior Platform Software Architect will work remotely, focusing on architecture and interface definition, cross-system integration, and providing technical leadership across multiple engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Define multi-generation platform software architecture and stable interfaces for various system interactions
- Integrate multiple components, including firmware and runtime systems, into a coherent architecture
- Lead architecture reviews and mentor senior engineers while driving cross-team issues to resolution
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in low-level platform software, firmware, or operating systems with architecture-level ownership
- Deep understanding of computer architecture, memory systems, and hardware/software interfaces
- Strong skills in C or C++ and the ability to determine the appropriate development artifacts
- Proven ability to influence engineering teams without direct authority
- Demonstrated capability to convert ambiguous product goals into precise interfaces and testable behaviors
