Senior Principal AI Engineer

Job Summary

Setting the technical direction for LLM and agentic AI systems, the full-time Senior Principal AI Engineer will tackle complex challenges, establish architectural standards, and drive innovation to enhance cybersecurity products remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Define the AI technical vision and multi-year roadmap for LLM and agentic systems across Detection and Response and Exposure and Remediation
• Lead high-risk technical initiatives, including fine-tuning and distillation of open-source LLMs on security data
• Mentor and develop engineering talent while representing the AI engineering team to executives and the external community

Required qualifications

• 14+ years of software or ML engineering experience, with 2+ years in production LLM or agentic AI systems; a PhD in a relevant field is preferred
• Proven track record of building scalable AI systems with company-wide impact through technical leadership
• Expertise in LLMs, including transformer architecture and advanced PyTorch skills
• Hands-on experience with fine-tuning and post-training of LLMs, including various training methods
• Deep knowledge of inference optimization and context engineering for AI systems
