Senior Principal AI Engineer

Job Summary

As a full-time Senior Principal AI Engineer, the successful candidate will define the technical direction for LLM and agentic AI systems, tackle complex technical challenges, and mentor engineering talent while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Set the AI technical vision and multi-year roadmap for LLM and agentic systems across security products
• Lead complex technical initiatives, including fine-tuning and optimization of open-source LLMs on security data
• Establish company-wide standards for context engineering, inference optimization, and evaluation of AI systems

Required qualifications

• 14+ years of software or ML engineering experience, with 2+ years building production LLM or agentic AI systems
• PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, AI, or related field preferred, or equivalent industry experience
• Expertise in LLMs, including transformer architecture and advanced PyTorch skills
• Hands-on experience with fine-tuning and post-training of open-weight LLMs
• Deep knowledge of inference optimization and context engineering for AI systems
