Senior Principal, Debt Management

Job Summary

Leading a portfolio of debt mandates, the full-time Senior Principal, Debt Management will negotiate and execute transactions across various debt products in a remote environment, driving revenue and P&L targets while mentoring junior team members.

Key responsibilities

• Manage debt mandates from initial offer through to closing, ensuring adherence to institutional standards
• Contribute to transaction velocity and close rates, directly impacting the Debt team's financial targets
• Prepare and present credit memos to the Credit Committee, analyzing credit quality and structural risks

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field; MBA, JD, or advanced degree preferred
• 10-12+ years of experience in renewable energy project finance or structured lending, with significant negotiation experience
• Expertise in project finance debt structures for solar, wind, and storage, including credit agreements and intercreditor arrangements
• Experience in leading and mentoring deal teams, with a focus on underwriting and financial modeling
• FINRA SIE, Series 79 and 63 required or willingness to obtain under company sponsorship
