Senior Privacy Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely in the Americas, the full-time Senior Privacy Engineer will design, implement, and operate privacy processing systems that protect the privacy rights of millions, while managing end-to-end problem ownership and participating in operational monitoring.

Key responsibilities

• Build and improve privacy processing systems for erasure requests, opt-outs, and access requests across the platform
• Own problems end-to-end, from issue identification through design, implementation, and operational monitoring
• Drive projects to completion by breaking down ambiguous problems and communicating progress clearly

Required qualifications

• Strong software engineering fundamentals with experience in building, scaling, and operating web applications in production
• Extreme ownership with a focus on full resolution of problems, including cleanup and operational follow-through
• Openness to working in a Ruby/Rails codebase, with a willingness to learn and adapt
• Genuine curiosity about privacy and compliance, with an interest in solving technical challenges in this domain
• Fluency with AI coding tools as part of the daily workflow to enhance productivity and code quality
