Senior Process Safety Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Senior Process Safety Engineer, the successful candidate will ensure the safety and reliability of chemical processes through risk assessments, safety evaluations, and the implementation of process safety management programs, with the flexibility to work remotely and travel as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain process safety management (PSM) programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices
• Lead and facilitate PHA, LOPA, and risk assessment activities, ensuring documentation, follow-up, and closure of action items
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement safety systems, procedures, and protocols to mitigate identified risks

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or a related field
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in a chemical manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of process safety management (PSM) principles and regulatory requirements
• Experience in facilitating process hazard analyses (PHA), HAZOP, and LOPA
• Understanding of Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) and experience in Basic Process Control System (BPCS) hazard analysis
