Senior Procurement Specialist - Packaging

Job Summary

Leading the procurement strategy for key packaging categories, the remote Senior Procurement Category Management Specialist - Packaging will manage a portfolio of $50M to $70M in spend, develop category strategies, negotiate supplier agreements, and foster partnerships to drive cost savings and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement long-term category strategies and yearly sourcing plans for multiple categories of spend
• Execute market research to create robust category strategies and maintain agility in response to market conditions
• Optimize sourcing, supplier selection, and contracting while ensuring quality and service level requirements are met

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Food Science, or a related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience
• 5+ years of experience in packaging categories, including procurement of materials like corrugate, flexible packaging, and closures
• Strong background in procurement within food, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, or consumer goods industries
• Experience in managing supplier contracts and relationships effectively
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; experience with Oracle ERP systems preferred
