Senior Product Security Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely, the full-time Senior Product Security Engineer will be responsible for embedding security throughout the software development lifecycle, conducting security design reviews, and leading application security assessments to mitigate risks in high-risk product areas.

Key responsibilities

• Own security design reviews and threat modeling for critical product areas, including payment processing and fraud systems
• Serve as a technical security authority, providing guidance on secure architecture patterns and application security assessments
• Define and drive the adoption of security standards and tooling across engineering teams to enhance security posture

Required qualifications

• 5 years of experience in application security, product security, or a closely related technical role
• Deep expertise in at least two security domains: web application security, API security, mobile security, or cloud security
• Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript
• Hands-on experience with threat modeling methodologies and modern application security tooling
• Familiarity with security frameworks relevant to fintech, including PCI-DSS and SOC 2 Type II
