Senior Production Designer

Job Summary

Seeking a detail-oriented Senior Production Designer for a full-time position, this role involves leading complex book cover production projects, creating high-quality layouts, and preparing final files for print and digital release, with the flexibility to work remotely or in a hybrid model from various states.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead book cover production projects from approved design to final print and digital files
• Build full-cover layouts and prepare files for manufacturing, ensuring quality and adherence to specifications
• Mentor junior production designers and identify opportunities for workflow improvements

Required qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience in book production design or a similar production-focused design role
• Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat
• Advanced understanding of print production and prepress processes
• Portfolio demonstrating relevant book cover and print production experience
• Experience mentoring or training other production professionals
